The Senate will continue
deliberations on the controversial Fourth Alteration Bill of the 1999
Constitution on Thursday.
The Senate President, David Mark
announced this on the floor of the senate at the Wednesday’s plenary.

The Senate President also announced
that the 7th Senate will have valedictory session same Thursday.
It will be recalled that the
immediate past President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, had challenged the ongoing Constitution
amendment in the Supreme Court, where the nation’s apex court ordered that
actions on the amendment should be suspended, while the two parties were told
to maintain the status quo.
