Delta Police Kill 2 Robbery Suspects, Arrest 5 Others

Determined to flush out criminals, police detectives in Warri, Delta State, have reportedly killed two robbery suspects and arrested five others in their hideouts.
Acting police public relations officer in the state, Asp Uwuigbe Nosakhare, who confirmed the incident, said the two suspects were killed on Friday evening in a gun battle with the police detectives, adding that the five suspects were arrested in their hideouts on a tip-off around Effurun bush path.
Uwuigbe said that the security operatives attached to a patrol team in Warri engaged the gang operating in a Toyota Camry car along Warri/  Sapele Road by AP Filling Station, adding that during the gun battle that ensued, two of the robbers were killed while others managed to escape with bullet wounds.
In the same way, operatives of SARS on routine patrol along Affianta Road, Ibusa, encountered a robbery gang on their way to a robbery operation.
The robbers, it was reliably gathered, who suspected that the operatives were after them, opened fire and the police operatives responded and injured two of them while the others escaped.
The arrested suspects, according to Uwuigbe, claimed to hail from Ejeme-Aniogor community but live in Ibusa from where they operate day and night. Items recovered from them included guns, ammunition and a Toyota Camry car with registration number UGH 550 AA among others.
