Ondo regent kidnapping: Police warn against ransom payment



Police in Ondo State, yesterday, asked  the Akungba community against paying alleged N20million ransom demanded by the kidnappers of the regent of the town, Princess Oluwatoyin Omosowon, and her aides.
Omosowon and three of her aides were abducted last week while coming from a public outing along the Ikare/ Owo Road by six persons.
But reacting to the development in Akure, yesterday, the image maker of the Ondo State Police Command, Wole Ogodo, warned the community not to pay the ransom without carrying the police along.
Ogodo advised the family of the regent against establishing contact with the abductors without informing the police.
