Maiduguri Suicide Attack Kills At Least 30, Hospital Sources Say

At least 30 people were killed in a male suicide attack at Maiduguri market in Borno State, a hospital source told SaharaReporters.
The hospital source said “the figure has risen from twenty to about 30 people this evening. Some of those who were critically injured passed in both State Specialist and UMTH Hospitals.
''The situation of today’s suicide bombing was bad because many of the innocent people were seriously injured, I could not control my emotions. I wept for the first time. The situation is worrisome'' one nurse said.
Families and relatives of the victims gathered in front of both hospitals because many could not ascertain whether their husbands were still alive or not. However, the soldiers initially stopped people but later allowed them in.
Mohid Ahmed, an undergraduate student whose father was a victim, told SaharaReporters that he was notified to go to the emergency unit in State Specialist Hospital of his father’s injuries.
''My father left home as usual last morning, in fact I was not aware that there was suicide attack, but a friend of mine called at about 04:30pm that informed me about it,'' Mohid Ahemd said.
''The explosions really affected my dad, it is our prayers that he will  survive it but truly, I am scared. '' he added.
However, the hospital sources said 27 corpses was brought but the figures of deaths toll is rising to 30 people due to some people with critical injuries, they believe the figures may likely rise by tomorrow.
